This course is based on the world’s
great teachings, both ancient and
modern. It shows the direction
towards inner balance through a
deeper understanding of ourselves,
the world we live in and the
underlying unity.
The approach is practical rather than academic, so that the ideas and principles can be put into immediate use in daily life. No previous knowledge of the subject is necessary.
We look forward to welcoming you.
The Croydon & Bromley School of Philosophy is a Branch of the School of Economic Science, which has headquarters at 11 Mandeville Place, London W1.
The School is a centre of spiritual and practical knowledge and enquiry. Through the courses, activities and events offered it aims to help people lead a full and useful life through a better understanding of themselves and the world around, and thereby to contribute positively to society at large.
The philosophy courses, which are at the heart of the School’s work, are practical rather than academic. What is given is intended to be of immediate use in everyday life. The philosophy is founded on the concept of Advaita, or unity, which underlies all the great teachings of the world.
